Thunderstorm tracks over east Winnipeg

Here's a great webcam shot of the thunderstorm cell passing over the east end of the city. Temperature dropped to 13C with heavy rain in the east, while the west end of the city didn't get a drop, but gusty outflow winds dropped the temperature from 24 to 19C in 20 minutes. East St Paul reported up to 21 mm of rain with the cell with pea size hail in Transcona.

  2. Excuse me, but did I just see a rainbow on the CTV live eye just a second ago? Now that is epic.

  3. Great Webcam shots on your new site ROB. You can follow the storm progress from Gimli (now clear and sunny) all the way to Steinbach if they get it. Some great shots from St Andrews Airport thru Pembina/Bishop Grandin.

Cool Wind Gusts went thru St vital park at 7:00 but no rain so far.

  6. Just some gusty winds in Steinbach. Interesting how storms like to evaporate before reaching Steinbach. Guess it isn't worth the trip for thunderstorms.
