SPC has a moderate risk over the area, which may require an upgrade to high the way things are going. They've just issued a tornado watch for much of TN valley for this afternoon. Could be a significant tornado threat with initial discrete storms merging into a squall line by evening with damaging winds.robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577519556216420480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-7625111617405765722007-10-17T22:25:00.000-05:002007-10-17T22:25:00.000-05:00Looks like they were mainly hailers today in OK an...Looks like they were mainly hailers today in OK and KS.. with a few tornadoes in Missouri. Now we get to look forward to more rain over SE MB as this large storm system moves up over Minnesota. Could see 25-40 mm along the MB/ON border by Saturday.robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577519556216420480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-90896404294924023922007-10-16T20:34:00.000-05:002007-10-16T20:34:00.000-05:00Rob,Could you make some comments about the moderat...Rob,

Could you make some comments about the moderate risk for severe storms in Kansas, Oklahoma tomorrow.

Since our weather is boring right now maybe we could talk about something interesting.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-60524291513936207602007-10-16T13:51:00.000-05:002007-10-16T13:51:00.000-05:00Well we are back to clouds today (10/16)...but jus...Well we are back to clouds today (10/16)...but just barely. A strong feed of moisture coming all the way from Michigan and Ohio has backed into extreme southern Manitoba. But as is seen from the satellite images, areas from the interlake north are still in the sunshine. Temps are in the mid teens in central Manitoba

All of the low clouds plaguing us have also kept overnite lows warm. Your station recorded its first frost (sub zero reading) only yesterday (10/15). A lot of the city has likely not seen a frost yet. That is quite surprising... usually we have had a hard freeze by now that nukes all the plant life etc.Danielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00949425441824069047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-21069758620571967002007-10-14T21:12:00.000-05:002007-10-14T21:12:00.000-05:00What a nice weekend.. after such a dreary week, it...What a nice weekend.. after such a dreary week, it sure was nice to get that sun.
