Dewpoints are still running at 15-18C in the southerlies over southern MB, with a fairly strong jet moving in by late Monday, so the possibility is there of some locally strong thunderstorms developing by Monday evening over SW MB with heavy rain as they train along the slowly advancing cold front. SPC does mention the risk of some isolated severe storms with the front but at this point, widespread severe storms are not anticipated.robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577519556216420480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-42159204660657505192009-09-06T13:46:31.939-05:002009-09-06T13:46:31.939-05:00Daniel:

The SPC's forecast rules us out, but we may see at least one or two non-severe pop-up ones.Connorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16890729307808750701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-69711418530167861752009-09-06T12:52:02.577-05:002009-09-06T12:52:02.577-05:00Rob!

Looks like a repeat tomorrow, with 30-33C readings likely over portions of the RRV and SW MB. Winnipeg hit 28C today, and with 850 temps a bit warmer tomorrow, I think we have a good shot at reaching 30C tomorrow afternoon. 30C readings will be more likely to our south and west.robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577519556216420480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-65851967493261708612009-09-05T11:11:10.214-05:002009-09-05T11:11:10.214-05:00Skies have cleared and temperatures climbing nicel...Skies have cleared and temperatures climbing nicely this morning. We're a couple degrees warmer at 850 today, so I think Winnipeg should make it to 28C this afternoon (26C yesterday) Some localities over SW MB and western RRV (Portage to Morden) may even touch the 30C mark today. Better chance of more widespread 30C temps Sunday, especially over SW MB, as 850 temps climb to 20-22C.robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577519556216420480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-40477173789965676382009-09-04T20:13:04.726-05:002009-09-04T20:13:04.726-05:00And the long weekend is off to a good start. My sunshine recorder is definitely showing the approach of fall as the watts per metre squared continues to drop day by day. Nice to be outside though.. except for those blasted mosquitoes! (they're awful in Charleswood)

Humidity wise, dewpoints through the weekend should be similar to the past few days.. around 15-18C which is a bit sticky for this time of year, but nowhere near as muggy as the 20-25C dewpoints we sometimes get in July during the height of the growing season.robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577519556216420480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-86734464435426291182009-09-04T09:32:10.405-05:002009-09-04T09:32:10.405-05:00Rob!
