Compared to the monster storm of July 16, 2005, it was a walk in the park.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18253773113229179154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-91533004076625383172007-07-25T20:04:00.000-05:002007-07-25T20:04:00.000-05:00Storm came through between 5 and 5:30 pm giving me...Storm came through between 5 and 5:30 pm giving me 16 mm rain, wind gusts to 70 km/h and a few stones of hail. Temp went from 31 to 26 in 5 minutes. Watching a line of tough storms to our west. They finally put out a severe thunderstorm watch for this area (don't know what took them so long).Bruce Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03473455812122973326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-8416065418229677252007-07-25T17:12:00.000-05:002007-07-25T17:12:00.000-05:00That's turning into a pretty nasty line of storms....That's turning into a pretty nasty line of storms. Of course although you can get a lot of severe weather with such a line, it does preclude the development of the lone monster supercell, since there is a finite amount of evergy. Usually those F4 and F5 tornadoes are associated with lone supercells that have no competition for atmospheric energy.Bruce Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03473455812122973326noreply@blogger.com
