Unfortunate...Mike was inquiring about radar images. Unfortunately public access to EC radar images is very limited, with only very basic and crude imagery from the Weatheroffice website. Fortunately, there are other places to view more useful EC radar data from other sources, including Weather Underground, Weather Network and AccuWeather, which have better map backgrounds, zooming capabilities and pcpn type colour coding available. (yes, American sources provide better Canadian radar imagery than EC does.. go figure) All these links are available on my radar webpage. Click on my name for the radar imagery product from Accuweather, which nicely shows the next batch of precipitation over Riding Mtns heading our way, possibly as a mix of freezing rain, snow or ice pellets.robhttp://www.accuweather.com/en/ca/manitoba/weather-radar?p=accuweathernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-1732537997800877972012-01-30T09:54:10.989-06:002012-01-30T09:54:10.989-06:00Brad.. snowfall was tough to measure as the light ...Brad.. snowfall was tough to measure as the light snow drifted quite a bit, with lots of bare areas, and 1-2 cm elsewhere. Next batch of precipitation developing to our NW and will track sewd into Winnipeg/RRV by evening. Models have been trending a little higher on the pcpn amounts with this system past couple of runs with potential for 5-10 cm through Interlake into southeast MB tonight into Tuesday morning, with perhaps 2-4 cm for Winnipeg.

Snow could start off as some freezing rain as temperatures aloft climb above 0C. This would cut down on snowfall amounts, but would make for more slippery conditions.robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577519556216420480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-59153668442218461452012-01-30T08:36:29.534-06:002012-01-30T08:36:29.534-06:00Did we get 2 cm?Did we get 2 cm?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-63047059597604223532012-01-29T23:30:47.351-06:002012-01-29T23:30:47.351-06:00My guess for tonight I don't think we will get...My guess for tonight I don't think we will get even a cm of snow.
