The last time a thunderstorm was officially observed at Winnipeg airport was back on July 4th.. 5 weeks ago. I was also unable to get a rainfall reading as I don't have a rain gauge but i hope to get one soon. I estimate we had at least 5-10 mm of rain last night. we needed it, I'd still love to see one good storm before the summer ends. Grand Forks area has been more normal...while we all know the southern Red River basin from Fargo to the headwaters has been very wet with total rainfall since June 1 of 10 to 15 inches.
