Sometimes (as in this latest event), my place won't be representative for Winnipeg.. but that can happen with any precip reading.. especially with summertime rainfall when one part of the city can get swamped with a storm, and other parts are dry.

Long story short.. officially, this event will go down as whatever I measure in Charleswood, but "unofficially" there were higher amounts elsewhere in the city.robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577519556216420480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-54932178473756040032012-02-21T12:04:34.528-06:002012-02-21T12:04:34.528-06:00Hi Rob,

Still a tough call for Winnipeg. General ...Daryl..

Still a tough call for Winnipeg. General model concensus points to bulk of snow occurring east of the city, but it will be close. I'm still thinking 2-5 cm for Winnipeg, mainly tonight.. with 5-10 cm for eastern RRV and 10-15 cm for areas closer to the Ontario border. Precip is moving in this afternoon southeast of Winnipeg as wet snow/rain mix due to temps of +2C, so snow will be melting on impact initially. But heavier snow looks likely by this evening as temps drop, and stronger lift moves in. Snow continues tonight into Tuesday morning before tapering off.

As noted. there will be a sharp drop in snow amounts on the western edge of this system, with little or no snow west of the RRV.robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577519556216420480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-52563454191209807722012-02-20T13:16:10.026-06:002012-02-20T13:16:10.026-06:00Rob what do you have to say about the snow increas...Rob what do you have to say about the snow increase?Darylnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33386160.post-3771567033240726892012-02-20T12:31:09.083-06:002012-02-20T12:31:09.083-06:00What!!!
